1968 Porsche 907 | CryoDetail®
We had the great pleasure of working with the Collier Automotive Museum (Revs Institute) out of Naples, Florida on this incredibly rare and priceless 1968 Porsche 907. This vehicle had quite a story behind it, and Revs Institute contacted us for an opportunity to work on this precious vehicle once they heard about the results of our dry ice blasting. The 907 was transported to us in May 2016, ready for our help!
The original fiberglass shell had been modified over the years to make it streetable by previous owner(s), adding extra layers of fiberglass and paintwork to it. Our goal at CryoDetail® was to remove as much of this extra paint & fiberglass as possible without damaging any of the original that lay underneath, leaving it as it was in 1968. This process would help Revs Institute reduce hundreds, if not thousands, of man hours of labor for this project and speed up their completion time.
We were happy to show to the Revs Institute how our CryoDetail® dry ice blasting process worked while performing the dry ice cleaning on this special car. We are very proud to have been a part of this project and to help Revs Institute bring glory back to this 907.
